Holy fucking shit! I don't think I could by most standards be considered squeamish, but holy fucking shit! Glad I didn't watch it while pregnant, that's for damned sure. Filmmakers thank Sam Raimi in the end credits, adding, "he'll never know why." I think he knows, kids; I think he knows.

KH has been glued to TCM all weekend watching Spellbound etc. I write. You watch movies Out In The World. What am I doing wrong??
You don't really expect me to get involved in a religious discussion, do you? All faiths merit respect. (Incidentally, I expect to use 2/3 of my 2009 allotment of DVD purchases on the 8-disk Hitch set about to be released--including, I'm guessing, much of what TCM is showing this wknd [Spellbound for sure, and Notorious, and the long-absent-from-DVD Rebecca].)
In other news, I trust you saw what our supreme court just did? My attitude, of course, is that while I'm proud, I'd sorta like to see some midwestern state do it; I mean, if you live in Illinois, you're not saving much gas money by driving to CT instead of MA.
I see my ancestral forebears did the right thing when they founded Connecticut. When Indiana joins in the fun, we'll have something to talk about. Meanwhile, let's just hope that California doesn't end up looking less progressive than Litchfield County.
