Orfeu negro
(1959)
Ah, love, music, and death: what else is there? Of course: love and music after death. This film is a Grecian urn, speaking to us of beauty and truth, all we know on earth, and all we need to know.I introduced this as an annual two years ago, then failed to get a chance to watch it last Carnaval time. But I mustn't look back.
