Had the pleasure tonight of showing this to someone who had never seen it before, and while under those circumstances, one might wish that
Carole Lombard were just a
tad less hysterical and that the few moments of didacticism from
William Powell a tad more subtle, but there's not much else I'd have different. It may not be a perfect film, but it's a perfectly wonderful one.
