The Purple Rose of Cairo
(1985)
So what would you say is Woody Allen's last great film? I would say it's later than this, but this is a film that holds up very well nearly a quarter of a century later.Mia Farrow cements her status as Allen's best-ever leading lady, and if she hadn't in the first 79 minutes, the transformation of her face from despair to narcotic numbness and then to something resembling a cracked happiness would have done it.

Excellent question! I might say Bullets over Broadway (1994). I should queue it anyway, because my next-door neighbor was in it. I'll begin there in a quest to answer your question.
